Sandhill Cranes in Homer Alaska.... Sandhill Cranes in Homer Alaska.... The other Day we were on our Realtor HLS tour (Homer List Share we go and see the new listings every Wednesday)... It was a beautiful day in Homer Alaska as we came out of a house right in town just in time to see a couple of Sand Hill cranes land in the yard next door... There is no way you can ignore a crane when they land right in front of you and start walking with those long gangling legs and make their little honking noises.. Enjoy them while you can .... The eagles were around us in abundance- kind of like mosquitoes in the swamp;) Check it out and add this to your bucket list! There were 7 legs on our zip line trip. Which also had three rope bridges- if you are afraid of heights- this will really give you a test of wits- I made it through and so did my parents. |

The Momma Moose and her Twins... And then another Moose with one Baby... very small and very aloof But the Twins were not shy... they were fighting with my windmill... Fighting over the drain pipe in the yard Fighting over mom... A Moose Moment in Homer Alaska A Moment in Homer Alaska The other day I was out taking pictures of a new listing... they had horses and they were all brushed and shiny I came back into town and was driving on the what we call the bypass road... which would make most people laugh... it is technically highway 1 but it is 2 lanes going through town to the Spit... anyway.... I caught a glimpse of something and I thought it was a horse on the highway...but no it was a big shiny moose... I turned around and saw that it was head down towards the inlet so I did too.... parked my car and waited for it to come to me.... beautiful day, beautiful moose and a beautiful moment ... The Sun was Shining, the wind gentle through the high grass, birds nesting on the wetlands... The Moose looked like she was healthy happy and almost as if her hair had been brushed....
