Here you have an iconic sportsperson.  One of the elite of his time being accused of lying to congress.  Now, Congress has the Federal prosecutors pressing charges against him.

Now think about this....Congress, a body of our representatives that have lied to us for years with no reprocusions, is whinning because they think that this sports icon lied to them. 

I think that the Federal prosecutors need to start charging the entire body of congress with perjury, and they should start right at the very TOP!!!  They are not supposed to be above the law!!

Actually, it is the final harvest on my part.   What started out like this...

Ended up like this.

  Now we had many meals of fresh produce and again as much put up for winter enjoyment.  But, it is time to plan for next year...

What grew well AGAIN this year and do we need to plant as much or more.

What can we eliminate and what would we like to try.

Was the layout good or do we need to tweak it a bit.

How about pests...bugs, and animals?  New fencing?

Do I want to start plants from seed or buy them already started.

Fertilizer.  Commercial or Natural?  Natural right from the farm or commercially processed.

Do I apply Fertilizer now or in the spring.

Should I till the ground now or is spring better.

This is just a partial list of things to think about while everything is still fresh in the minds.  Planning now can make for a much more enjoyable gardening experience next year.

Fishing Romance!

No secrete about my Fishing, but including Romance is a bit different on my side.  

After a good morning of fishing, handling over 2 dozen fish and being splashed with water, not to mention the sweating in the hot sun, I come back to the cabin.

I walked into the house and my wife met me at the door. 

"I missed you," as she touched my hand ever so softly..."NOW get those smelly clothes off before you go any farther in this house!!!

And I thought my luck was being extended!!!

August 2010 Twin Cities Real Estate Market Video Update—The Economy is Driving the Housing Market!

As Minnesotans enjoy a corndog at the State Fair or a last dip in the lake before heading back to school, there is no surprising (or uplifting) news on the Twin Cities real estate front. As the August Monthly Skinny from the Minneapolis Area Association of REALTORS points out, there is merit to the headline after headline regarding the economy and likewise the continued sluggishness of the real estate market. It is a post-tax-credit July where housing sales numbers were down considerably. As we stole buyers fron the summer months, the Minneapolis/St. Paul area was somewhat "buyerless" this summer. On a good note, prices were still up a bit from last month but this is a trend unlikely to continue. Sellers who are serious about selling must be ready to negotiate on their price. Before the real estate market sees any significant turn around, the job situation must improve so people are motivated to buy again.
