2010 Houston Run for Recovery!
2010 Houston Run for Recovery! On Sunday, September 12, 2010 the Houston Run for Recovery will take place near downtown Houston! Running along Allen Parkway is a great way to view the Houston skyline while doing something good for your health and for a worthy cause. The Race is being presented by the Santa Maria Hostel, Inc., Extended Aftercare, Inc., and The Council on Alcohol and Drugs Houston. The run will consist of a 5K run or walk which equals 3.1 miles. The race/walk will begin at 7:30 a.m. Recovery month is recognized in September and is an excellent way to celebrate sobriety for yourself or a loved one. Houston is ramping up the efforts to help recognize this important month for those who have dealt with the difficulties associated with drug or alcohol abuse.
